KAARZAN
Kaar.zan is a visceral driving journal, an exploration of speed, sound, and movement. Crafted through the interplay of vibrations, motion, and music, this series captures the hypnotic state of driving where time blurs, and every element of the experience syncs together.
Filmed through an old digital camera, the visuals carry a distinct texture grainy, imperfect, yet deeply immersive. The vibrations of the car, the resonance of the speakers, and the increasing rush of wind through the open window all contribute to the raw energy of the drive. As the car gains speed, the wind intensifies, shaking the camera, distorting light trails, and mirroring the momentum of the journey. The music dictates the rhythm, its bass reverberating through the chassis, syncing perfectly with the driver’s movements as they enter a flow state, where the car, the music, and the moment become one.
Kaar.zan is more than just a visual series it is an attempt to capture the unspoken poetry of the road, the trance-like immersion that only a night drive can bring, and the fleeting moments when speed, sound, and solitude align in perfect harmony.

It is a personal project an evolving visual driving journal that captures the meditative state of driving, where speed, sound, and light merge into a hypnotic experience. This series documents my nightly commutes and spontaneous road trips, transforming them into cinematic explorations of movement and emotion., where every ride becomes a canvas for the emotions I experience. These videos reflect the moments when music inspires me, helps me reach a flow state, and anchors me to the present. Through skillful driving and carefully crafted visuals, every video creates a unique harmony between audio and motion.

At the heart of Kaar.zan is my Suzuki Kizashi 2.4L manual, a rare, underrated JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) machine that has become my personal project over time. The Kizashi was Suzuki’s last true performance sedan before they exited the market, making it an automotive anomaly. With a 6-speed manual transmission, a naturally aspirated engine, and a chassis designed for pure driving feel, the Kizashi stands in stark contrast to today’s automated, soulless machines. In an era where driving is increasingly filtered through screens, sensors, and autopilot systems, this car is a reminder of when driving used to feel raw, connected, and mechanical.
Restoring this car wasn’t just about bringing it back to life; it was about preserving an experience. A car like this doesn’t just take you from point A to B, it becomes part of the journey itself. From sourcing rare parts to fine-tuning its handling, the process of restoring the Kizashi has been as much about the drive as it has been about the machine itself. Every modification, every tweak, and every drive has added to its character, making it more than just a car it’s a time capsule of driving purity.
